Questions Welcome

If you don't see your question here, ask us directly — we'd rather answer twice than have you guess.

Do you provide the alcohol?

No. We provide the professional bar and event staff; alcohol is supplied by you or your venue. We do not sell or supply alcohol ourselves. This is called a dry-hire model — it's the honest, defensible way to staff events without a liquor license, and it works well for weddings, private events, and venues that already stock their own bars.

Where do you serve?

We're based in New England and serve Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. For events further afield — a destination wedding, a corporate event beyond New England — we'll consider it; travel is billed at cost.

What size events can you handle?

We staff events from intimate 20-guest gatherings up to full receptions of 200. Beyond 200 guests we can discuss it on a case-by-case basis; capacity is scaling as we grow. For festivals and large public events, contact us directly to see if the scope fits our current bench.

How far in advance should I book?

For weddings and major private events, 3 – 6 months in advance is typical, especially for peak season (May – October). For bar fill-ins, corporate events, and short-notice work, we can often accommodate within 1 – 2 weeks depending on staff availability. Reach out early to hold the date.

What certifications do your staff hold?

Every team member is TIPS certified (responsible alcohol service), ServSafe certified (food handling), and BLS certified (Basic Life Support). Our lead bartenders also hold BarSmarts Basic and Advanced credentials. Certifications are required before a first event — no exceptions.

Will your staff refuse service to intoxicated or underage guests?

Yes, always. This is not optional and it's not something a client can waive. Our staff check IDs and refuse service to visibly intoxicated or underage guests, no exceptions. Venues appreciate this because it protects everyone; we're transparent about it up front so there are no surprises the night of.

Can you develop a custom cocktail menu for our event?

Yes — this is one of our favorite parts of the work. Whether it's two signature cocktails tied to your story or a full multi-course pairing menu, we'll design something that fits your event, your budget, and your bar's constraints. See our Services page for the Signature Mixology offering.

Do you offer non-alcoholic options?

Absolutely. A great non-alcoholic program is not an afterthought — it's a signal of hospitality. We can build custom mocktails and zero-proof options alongside any cocktail menu.

What if a staff member calls out sick or something goes wrong?

We staff with backup in mind. If someone can't make it, we send a replacement — we don't leave you short. If equipment fails or a situation gets difficult, our lead handles it discreetly. You should never be pulled into an operational problem during your own event.

What's your cancellation policy?

Cancellations more than 60 days out: deposit retained, other payments refunded. 30 – 60 days out: 50% of total retained. Under 30 days: full amount retained. We're happy to reschedule where possible rather than cancel. Full details are in our Terms of Service.

Do I need a deposit to hold my date?

Yes. A signed proposal plus a non-refundable deposit (typically 25 – 50% of total, set in your proposal) locks your date. Until both are in place, dates are held tentatively.

How do I get a quote?

Fill out our quote form — event type, date, location, guest count, hours, budget, and bar model. A real human reads every request and replies within 24 hours with clarifying questions or a first-draft quote. No bots, no auto-replies.
